STUDENT WEB DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
Assists faculty and staff with web development issues. May be required to:
- Design and maintain websites with respect to form, content, and ease of use
- Design, write, test, and/or implement web applications
- Develop computer graphics
- Maintain hardware and software
- Assist in statistical analyses of data sets obtained via web-based applications
- Develop training and documentation to assist staff and faculty in web development tools
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic user issues regarding website applications within department guidelines
- Secure work environment, systems, and equipment
- Perform data entry, record keeping and other administrative tasks
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings
- Assist in training of other student employees
- Complete miscellaneous duties as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in information technology
- Knowledge of web design and development packages (e.g., Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop)
- Knowledge of web languages and platforms (e.g., HTML, CSS, PHP, Java) and their use
- Skill in working within mainframe, Web, and Windows environments
- Macintosh and Unix/Linux systems knowledge a plus
- Ability to operate a computer and advanced computer literacy skills
- Customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in project-driven, team environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- May need to lift approximately 25 lbs.
