STUDENT FACILITY MONITORING SPECIALIST

Provides assistance in student and public access areas. May be required to:

  • Sign users into facility while obtaining necessary registration information and/or valid identification
  • Verify names of potential patrons against a list of certified users
  • Program facility access/security systems
  • Disseminate information and distribute materials & equipment
  • Maintain facility reports on student or public use
  • Update patron lists and other departmental records
  • Monitor area for security and enforce departmental policies and procedures
  • Keep area neat, clean, orderly, and quiet
  • Perform assigned cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • Prepare the area for the start of the day
  • Close the area at the end of the day (turn off equipment and lights, inventory equipment, lock door)
  • Serve as a general consultant on the use of facility and services
  • Issue equipment and materials
  • Inform patrons when time limit on session is up
  • Receive and record cash receipts
  • Set up cash register and verify cash
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings
  • Assist in the training of other student workers
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as required

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar position
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Customer service and communication skills
  • May be required to work evenings, nights, and weekends
