STUDENT FACILITY MONITORING SPECIALIST
Provides assistance in student and public access areas. May be required to:
- Sign users into facility while obtaining necessary registration information and/or valid identification
- Verify names of potential patrons against a list of certified users
- Program facility access/security systems
- Disseminate information and distribute materials & equipment
- Maintain facility reports on student or public use
- Update patron lists and other departmental records
- Monitor area for security and enforce departmental policies and procedures
- Keep area neat, clean, orderly, and quiet
- Perform assigned cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Prepare the area for the start of the day
- Close the area at the end of the day (turn off equipment and lights, inventory equipment, lock door)
- Serve as a general consultant on the use of facility and services
- Issue equipment and materials
- Inform patrons when time limit on session is up
- Receive and record cash receipts
- Set up cash register and verify cash
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings
- Assist in the training of other student workers
- Perform miscellaneous duties as required
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a similar position
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Customer service and communication skills
- May be required to work evenings, nights, and weekends
