COMMUNITY SAFETY SPECIALIST

Assists in public safety and service. May be required to:

• Patrol assigned areas
• Provide escort service to faculty, students, and staff
• Issue parking violation tickets to illegally parked vehicles
• Act as a liaison between student escorts and Disabled Student Services Office
• Assist with scheduling of student patrols
• Review student ticket appeals
• Provide directions and information to campus visitors seeking assistance
• Assist in the training of other student workers
• Participate in training sessions and staff meetings
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a similar position
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Hold valid Connecticut driver’s license
• Customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)
