STUDENT DELIVERY TRANSPORT SPECIALIST

Drives state vehicle and provides assistance to make on-campus deliveries and pick-ups. May be required to:

• Operate an automatic or standard shift vehicle
• Operate forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other machinery
• Load and unload vehicles
• Record signatures for deliveries
• Take inventory
• Perform basic administrative tasks such as filing, filling out forms, creating manifests, photocopying, etc.
• Assist in training other student employees
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar position
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Working knowledge of inventory systems
• Valid CT driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to operate a computer, phone, and two-way radio
• May need to perform physical duties such as heavy lifting
• Good communication skills
