STUDENT EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST

Assists staff in technical, equipment-related matters. May be required to:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and/or mechanical equipment
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform simple repairs of automotive equipment/engines
• Construct equipment from schematics
• Assist in equipment design and drafting
• Perform unskilled maintenance or custodial/ housekeeping tasks (e.g., passing tools, setting up work area, vacuuming)
• Fill out paperwork
• Participate in training sessions and staff meetings
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a similar position
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• May require knowledge of instrument calibration procedures
• Knowledge of tool use and equipment maintenance/repair
• May need to perform physical duties such as lifting
