STUDENT PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT
Drives state vehicle (e.g., van, car) and provides assistance in transportation-related areas. May be required to:
- Operate an automatic or standard shift vehicle to transport University personnel, visitors, and/or students to and from various sites (e.g., community service agencies, airports, conferences, athletic events, etc.)
- Inform passengers of schedule or itinerary
- Handle money and fee bills when applicable
- Perform recordkeeping tasks and tabulate reports
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as filing, copying, filling out forms, etc.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings
- Perform miscellaneous duties as directed
Requirements:
- Valid CT driver’s license and clean driving record
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate a computer, phone, and two-way radio
- Ability to work with a diverse array of customers, including those with disabilities
- May need to perform physical duties such as lifting baggage
