STUDENT TRANSPORT TRAINEE

Provides assistance in transportation-related areas. May be required to:

• Wash vehicles
• Set up equipment
• Load and unload vehicles
• Record signatures for deliveries
• Perform simple custodial tasks (e.g., cleaning, vacuuming, emptying trash)
• Operate an automatic or standard shift vehicle under direct supervision
• Inform passengers of schedule or itinerary
• Perform basic administrative tasks such as filing, filling out forms, running errands, etc.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed

Requirements:

• Valid CT driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to operate a computer, phone, and two-way radio
• Ability to work with a diverse array of customers, including those with disabilities
• May need to perform physical duties such as lifting
