STUDENT HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES OUTREACH TRAINEE
Provides assistance in various on-campus or off-campus locations to address a variety of community service needs. Areas of service might include health care, education, recreation, environmental, and public safety. Student may be required to:
- Assist in tasks to improve the quality of life for area residents or to solve particular community problems. Examples:
- Assist staff members to provide recreational and social activities for senior citizens
- Assist staff members to provide recreational and social activities for adults with physical and/or intellectual challenges
- Assist staff members in preparing & delivering meals, cleaning common areas, organizing activities, and/or performing administrative tasks in shelters and soup kitchens
- Assist staff members with basic patient care, administrative, and/or educational tasks in hospitals, clinics, or skilled nursing facilities
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions
- Perform miscellaneous duties as directed
