STUDENT THEATER TRAINEE

Assists faculty and staff with the operation of a theatre. May be required to:

• Usher patrons to appropriate seats
• Complete ticket transactions
• Construct and paint scenery
• Distribute posters and other promotional materials
• Maintain make-up and dressing rooms
• Assist Director and/or House Manager
• Perform simple backstage duties for lighting and stage during productions
• Procure and construct theatrical properties
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed

Requirements:

• Customer service and communication skills
• May need to perform physical duties such as lifting, simple carpentry, etc.
• May need to work nights and/or weekends
