STUDENT PLANT CARE SPECIALIST

Provides skilled plant care. May be required to:

• Prepare planting media
• Weed, water, and spray plants and trees per established guidelines
• Prune trees and shrubs
• Cultivate, pollinate, and fertilize plants per established guidelines
• Harvest crops
• Wash pots and containers
• Operate and clean equipment
• Complete paperwork and maintain records
• Assist in the training of other student employees
• Participate in training sessions and staff meetings
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required

Requirements:

• Previous plant care experience in a similar position
• Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated knowledge of plant care and procedures
• May need to perform physical duties such as heavy lifting
