STUDENT BOOKKEEPING SPECIALIST

Assists faculty and staff with bookkeeping duties. May be required to:

  • Keep records of financial transactions (e.g., payrolls, accounts payable, accounts receivable, deposits)
  • Verify and enter details of transactions in accounts and cash journals
  • Compile and/or analyze data from various sources
  • Organize and maintain files and records
  • Prepare and review University purchasing forms
  • Track orders through purchasing channels
  • Order supplies
  • Assist in the completion of inventories
  • Operate a copy machine, printer, fax, scanner, and other office equipment
  • Prepare time cards for payment of wages
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings
  • Assist in the training of other student workers
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as required

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a bookkeeping position and knowledge of bookkeeping procedures
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Computer literacy and ability to operate office equipment
  • Attention to detail
  • Customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)
