STUDENT BOOKKEEPING SPECIALIST
Assists faculty and staff with bookkeeping duties. May be required to:
- Keep records of financial transactions (e.g., payrolls, accounts payable, accounts receivable, deposits)
- Verify and enter details of transactions in accounts and cash journals
- Compile and/or analyze data from various sources
- Organize and maintain files and records
- Prepare and review University purchasing forms
- Track orders through purchasing channels
- Order supplies
- Assist in the completion of inventories
- Operate a copy machine, printer, fax, scanner, and other office equipment
- Prepare time cards for payment of wages
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings
- Assist in the training of other student workers
- Perform miscellaneous duties as required
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a bookkeeping position and knowledge of bookkeeping procedures
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Computer literacy and ability to operate office equipment
- Attention to detail
- Customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)
