STUDENT LIFEGUARDING SPECIALIST

Assists with recreation/athletics activities and programs. May be required to:

• Monitor all activity in pool area
• Enforce rules and policies for safety and accident prevention as well as other departmental policies and procedures
• Check valid identification and sign-in patrons
• Issue towels and other equipment
• Assist with the training and scheduling of other student employees
• Participate in training sessions and staff meetings
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a similar position
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Lifeguard training certification (Red Cross)
• Certification as Water Safety Instructor
• CPR and first aid certification
• Customer service and communication skills
