STUDENT ATHLETIC FACILITY MONITORING ASSISTANT

Provides assistance in student and public access to recreational/athletic areas. May be required to:

• Perform overall monitoring of athletic complex facilities
• Enforce departmental policies to ensure proper safety and to prevent accidents
• Know and follow procedures to address emergencies in athletic complex
• Open athletic complex and secure athletic complex at closing
• Cover for other student athletic facility staff prior to shift or during shift changes/breaks
• Maintain facility reports on student/public use including participation statistics
• Update records and file reports, as required
• Perform assigned cleaning and maintenance of equipment and facility (e.g., sharpen ice skates, inflate basketballs, etc.)
• Serve as consultant on use of facility and its resources, including providing information regarding recreational, athletic, and intramural activities
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed

Requirements:

• Successful completion of training program
• First aid and CPR Certification
• Customer service and communication skills
