STUDENT PHOTOGRAPHY SPECIALIST

Assists faculty and staff with photography-related work. May be required to:

  • Photograph in film or digital
  • Photograph people, specimens, books, prints, and large material in the studio or on the copy-stand for high resolution printing and web applications
  • Shoot campus events and activities
  • Shoot passport photos to government specifications
  • Process both black & white or color film/ slides (i.e., developing, printing, copying)
  • Design, lay out, edit, and process images in various computer applications (e.g., PhotoShop)
  • Work with faculty and students to answer photography-related questions
  • Print photo images using various printers (e.g., photo laser, photo inkjet)
  • Assist in training other student employees
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as required

Requirements:

  • Previous photography experience in a similar position
  • Ability to operate various photography and office equipment
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Good working knowledge of related computer applications (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop)
  • Customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • May need to work evenings and weekends
