Assists in the daily operations of a retail establishment. May be required to:

  • Perform basic reception duties including greeting customers and answering phones
  • Monitor store area for security
  • Direct customers to and answer questions about merchandise
  • Secure supplies and stock shelves
  • Take inventory
  • Run errands
  • Type and proofread invoices, brochures, catalogues, and other correspondence
  • Organize and maintain receipts and records
  • Attend training sessions and staff meetings
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as directed


  • Ability to operate a computer, cash register, and phone
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • May need to perform physical duties such as lifting
