STUDENT RESEARCH REVIEW SPECIALIST

Assists faculty in research efforts by conducting reviews of literature and subject material specific to research topics. Student may be required to:

• Compile a list of possible references from index or abstract sources
• Look up and check references
• Extract information from sources
• Translate or transcribe
• Organize and classify data
• Tabulate and analyze data
• Proofread and edit reports & research copy
• Prepare bibliographies and indexes
• Interpret statistical output
• Write reports and develop summary materials (e.g., models, charts, tables, abstracts)
• Prepare copy for publication
• Participate in training sessions and staff meetings
• Assist in the training of other student employees
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a similar position
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to operate a computer and other research equipment
• May require knowledge of specific applications related to data acquisition and statistical analysis
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
