STUDENT INTERVIEW & SURVEY RESEARCH SPECIALIST

Assists faculty in research efforts utilizing survey research techniques. Student may be required to:

  • Assist in questionnaire preparation
  • Determine sample size and type
  • Schedule interviews
  • Conduct interviews
  • Mail questionnaires
  • Administer questionnaires (by phone, in person, online)
  • Collect and record data
  • Code/plot and analyze data
  • Review forms and/or notes for completeness
  • Transcribe from digital recorders and videotapes
  • Interpret statistical output
  • Write reports on experimental procedures and findings
  • Prepare copy for publication
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings
  • Assist in the training of other student employees
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as required

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar position
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to operate a computer, phone, and/or other research equipment
  • May require knowledge of specific applications related to data acquisition and statistical analysis
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
