STUDENT PHYSICAL THERAPY TRAINEE

Assists physical therapist in rehabilitation of injured patients. May be required to:

• Clean treatment area, equipment and whirlpools
• Change linen on treatment tables
• Issue crutches or canes to patients with lower extremity injuries
• Administer ice packs and ice massages to patients as directed by physical therapist
• Monitor patients’ completion of therapeutic exercises as directed by physical therapist
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed

Requirements:

• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Patient service and communication skills (verbal and written)
• May be required to perform physical duties such as lifting
• Physical Therapy or Sports Medicine majors preferred
