STUDENT PRINTING SPECIALIST

Assists faculty and staff with printing related work. May be required to:

  • Operate various printing machines and related equipment to complete printing orders on time
  • “Cost out” completed work according to established prices
  • Receive and process orders using phones and computerized systems
  • Mix inks to match needed colors
  • Proofread work for errors, making necessary corrections
  • Hand bind, collate and sort materials
  • Proof material for errors, making necessary corrections
  • Perform minor preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Monitor inventory of supplies
  • Assist in training of other student employees
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as required

Requirements:

  • Prior printing experience in a similar job
  • Schedule flexibility to meet printing order demands
  • Customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in project-driven, team environment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • May need to lift heavy objects (50 lbs)
