STUDENT ATHLETIC TRAINING SPECIALIST

Assists athletics and/or recreation faculty and staff. May be required to:

• Tape and wrap athletes’ joints and limbs
• Respond to emergency situation(s) per established procedures
• Assist in rehabilitation of injured athletes
• Attend team practices
• Oversee training room
• Address needs of assigned team, both home and away;
• Assist in the supervision of other student employees
• Participate in training sessions and staff meetings
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a related position
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must have first aid, CPR, and trainer certification
• Sports medicine, kinesiology, or physical therapy majors preferred
