STUDENT OFFICIATING ASSISTANT
Assists faculty and staff with recreation/athletics activities and programs. May be required to:
- Officiate recreational sporting events in accordance with official departmental rules and interpretations
- Complete and file incident reports, evaluation forms and statistical reports,as required
- Enforce rules and policies for safety and accident prevention
- Provide on-site rule interpretations and address protests
- Set-up and clean-up recreational area
- Govern control of game
- Keep score and time
- Check IDs and obtain signatures from patrons, as required
- Clean, prepare and disburse equipment
- Consult with supervisor on player misconduct
- Evaluate team participation
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings
- Perform miscellaneous duties as directed
Requirements:
- May need to pass test confirming knowledge of official departmental rules governing the game
- May require CPR certification
- Customer service and communication skills
