STUDENT ARTISTIC PERFORMANCE SPECIALIST

Engages in paid artistic performance activities for a specified hourly rate. May be required to:

  • Play a musical instrument to accompany faculty, staff, or other students as part of a class or artistic performance
  • Play a musical instrument at University events as a soloist or part of an ensemble
  • Execute aspects of dramatic art productions
  • Perform dances at University events singly or as part of an ensemble
  • Assist in visual arts activities and classes (e.g., modeling for drawing classes)
  • Assist in the preparation and planning for classes and events
  • Assist in the training of other students
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as required

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated skill in the artistic medium required
  • Prior experience in a similar position
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • May need to formally audition
  • May need to work evenings or weekends
